Our Approach

A thoughtful blend of research-backed curriculum and hands-on learning—designed to nurture the whole child.

Frog Street Curriculum

At Little Learners, we use the Frog Street curriculum, a nationally recognized, research-based early childhood program designed to support the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.

Frog Street offers intentional, age-appropriate learning experiences that build essential skills through play, exploration, and hands-on activities. Each day is thoughtfully planned to nurture curiosity, encourage problem-solving, and foster a love of learning.

A key component of Frog Street is its focus on social-emotional development through Conscious Discipline—helping children learn self-regulation, empathy, and positive relationship skills in a safe, loving environment. This approach supports not only academic growth but also the emotional well-being of every child.

Each of our classrooms follows the Frog Street pathway with age-appropriate characters to help bring learning to life:

  • Lily — Infant Room
  • Max — Toddler Room
  • Fernando — Preschool Room

Our teachers receive ongoing professional development and training through Frog Street with our workforce board to ensure they are equipped with the latest strategies, tools, and resources to meet each child's unique needs.

At Little Learners, every moment is an opportunity for growth, connection, and joyful discovery—guided by a curriculum that truly puts children first.

Proud Participant in Texas Rising Star Quality Program

We are committed to providing care that exceeds state standards—ensuring every child in our program is nurtured, supported, and prepared to shine.

At Little Learners, we participate in Texas Rising Star (TRS), a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for childcare providers in Texas who accept childcare subsidies. TRS is designed to help early childhood programs meet higher standards of care, ensuring that children receive the best possible start during their most formative years.

Our TRS commitment:

  • engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environments.
  • social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of every child.
  • positive teacher-child interactions that build trust, confidence, and curiosity.
  • safe, stimulating classroom spaces with enriching materials and activities.

We work closely with our TRS mentor and undergo regular assessments to ensure we meet or exceed TRS standards in every area—from curriculum and instruction to teacher training, family partnerships, and classroom quality.

Our goal is not only to meet the basic requirements for licensing but to go above and beyond, giving families the confidence that their child is learning and thriving in a high-quality, nurturing environment. We believe that investing in quality early education today builds the foundation for a lifetime of success.

Why TRS Quality Matters:

Higher standards for teacher training and professional development

Safe, engaging, and child-centered environments

Focus on social-emotional learning and school readiness

Ongoing assessments and improvements

Peace of mind for parents seeking high-quality care

We believe every child deserves a nurturing start and every family deserves peace of mind. Let’s take the next step together.
